Standing Rules
Article I
Membership Guidelines
1. General Membership. (Non-voting Membership)
a. Must attend two (2) Annual Members' Meetings. (This may include the current year's Annual Members Meeting)
b. Make some contributions, as determined by the Board.
c. Be nominated by a current General Member or Voting Member.
d. Membership approved by majority vote of current voting members at the next or current Annual Members Meeting.
2. Voting Membership
a. Must meet all General Membership requirements per the Standing Rules.
b. Must attend one (1) additional Annual Members Meeting after being voted in as a General Member. (This may include the current year's Annual Members Meeting)
c. Make significant contributions, as determined by the Board.
d. Must be nominated by a current Voting Member.
e. Membership approved by majority vote of current Voting Members at the next or current Annual Members Meeting.
3. Maintaining General Membership. (Non-voting Membership)
a. Must attend an Annual Members' Meeting at least once (1) within two (2) years after being voted into General Membership.
b. Continued contribution to the organization.
c. Per Bylaws, a General Member may be removed from General Membership if they do not carry out the duties of a General Member for two (2) years by a majority vote of the Voting members at the Annual Members Meeting or by a 2/3 vote from the Board of Directors anytime.
4. Maintaining Voting Membership
a. Must attend all Annual Members' Meetings.
b. Continued significant contributions to the organization.
c. Per Bylaws, a Voting Member will automatically be moved to a General Member (Non-voting Member) if they do not carry out the duties of a Voting Member for one (1) year.
5. Reinstating General Membership
a. Must attend an Annual Members' Meeting.
b. Current contributions to the organization.
c. Must be nominated by a current Member.
d. Membership approved by majority vote of current Voting Members at the next or current Annual Members Meeting.
6. Reinstating Voting Membership
a. Must attend an Annual Members' Meeting after being reinstated as a General Member (Non-voting Member, current year does not apply.)
b. Current significant contributions to the organization.
c. Must be nominated by a current Voting Member.
d. Membership approved by majority vote of current Voting Members at the next or current Annual Members Meeting.
